Our brand was built on a lifelong fascination with WWII aviation and the warbirds that defined a generation. These aircraft were never just symbols — they were brutally effective machines, designed under pressure, refined through failure, and flown by young men who trusted their lives to rivets, boost gauges, and raw nerve.
PROUD AND INSPIRED
I’m Carl, founder of Spitfire Clothing. A British paratrooper veteran who served in Afghanistan, with a deep respect for airborne forces — past and present — and the machines that carried them into history. My military service gave me a clearer understanding of what sacrifice truly means, and a deeper appreciation for the generations who came before us.
VICTORY IS IN OUR BLOOD
Spitfire Clothing is also personal. My great-grandfather, John Jackson, served as an RAF engineer during WWII with D Section, No. 1 Base Aircraft Repair Unit. He was one of the men behind the scenes — repairing, rebuilding, and keeping aircraft operational under relentless pressure. The pilots flew them, but engineers like him made sure they flew again.
Though I only know fragments of his story, his skill, dedication, and quiet resilience shaped my respect for engineering and craftsmanship. Today, as a parent, I believe preserving these stories — and the machines behind them — matters more than ever.
